We should learn to see with the eyes of a child, hear with the ears of a child, and feel with the heart of a child.

process

The initial contact usually takes place by phone or email. After scheduling an appointment, we will clarify, during a non-binding and detailed first session, what the focus of the treatment could be. We will discuss possible treatment goals, and whether this is the right place for your concerns. The first session is paid and lasts 90 minutes. We will also discuss further organizational details such as frequency, scheduling, and costs.

Only then will you decide whether working together is an option for you.

The duration of the treatment process naturally depends on the specific symptoms, the agreed-upon therapy goals, and your individual needs, but typically varies between a few months and several years.

regulations

A therapy session usually lasts 50 minutes, begins on the hour, and typically takes place once a week to ensure a continuous therapeutic process. In crisis situations, the frequency can be increased to two sessions per week. The duration of the therapy process usually varies between a few months and several years, depending on the agreed-upon goals and individual needs.

If you wish to cancel or reschedule an appointment, I kindly ask you to contact me as early as possible, but at least 24 hours before the appointment. In that case, the cancellation or rescheduling will be free of charge. If no cancellation is made, or if it is made less than 24 hours before the appointment, I will charge for a full therapy session.

If I need to cancel an appointment at short notice, the replacement session will, of course, be free of charge for you.

cost structure

The cost per session is 110. Austrian social insurance providers offer a subsidy for psychotherapy at varying amounts after submission.

Additionally, I offer a limited number of spots at a social rate for individuals with little or no income.

Payment by bank transfer within 7 days after the therapy session.

setting

The sessions take place in the safe space of my practice at Trappelgasse 6, 3rd floor, door 10. The practice has two rooms, which I share with a dear colleague. The practice is very well connected by public transport (U1/U4/bus/tram or WLB).

Alternatively or in addition to in-person treatment, I also offer online therapy and consultations (e.g. via Zoom).

confidentiality

As a psychotherapist, I am subject to strict confidentiality obligations.

According to § 15 (1) of the Psychotherapy Act, the psychotherapist, as well as their assistants (e.g., practice staff, accounting, supervisors), are obliged to maintain confidentiality regarding all secrets entrusted to them or that have become known to them in the exercise of their profession.

Confidentiality is regarded as a duty of the psychotherapist and also encompasses the personal rights of patients – in particular, psychotherapists must protect the secrets entrusted to them or that have become known to them in the exercise of their profession.
